To get the idea for style, I opted for a very 'Archer-like' look. Comic style and movies seems to go pretty hand in hand these days and it felt like a natural fit.

Because these were used mostly in a small size, there was also no need for intricate details. I wanted to focus on a character first and foremost and then surround it with some background that would do what backgrounds do best: blend in.
